'Allo 'Allo & Welcome to Day Uno of the A to Z Challenge
If anyone was with me last year at this time, they may recall a thing called The Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. Basically it's a thang where we bloggers post somethin' everyday in April, sans Sundays (even Zeus hadda rest once 'n a while), and do it alphabetically. You know, like A and B and C and D, E, F, and so on and so on and yada yada yada. That's basically the whole kit 'n kaboodle, the whole shebang-a-lang. Everything in a nut shell, if you will. And if ya go and click on the big A to the right, it should take ya over to the official A to Z page, where all the pertinents and such are. With that being said, welcome to day uno, and my introductory post, oh so cleverly titled, 'Allo 'Allo.

Some of these fellow bloggers, many of them writers and the like (my pop culture bent may be the odd duck out in the 1000+ gaggle of participants), choose some sorta theme to go with their month-a-postin'. Be it song titles or different types of owls or Kanye quotes or what have ya. I, being that parenthetically aforementioned odd duck out, have chosen the same theme as last year, and that is no theme at all. No tyin' this wild stallion down! Anyhoo, I'll be postin' the some kinda crap ya'll are used to (movie stuff, TV ramblings, musical interludes, comic book rants, top ten lists, posts about punchin' peeps in da face), the only difference being they will be in alphabetical order all month long. Well, I may cheat once or twice, but cheating counts. Right? Yeah, right! Many of the folks takin' part this month have talked about how challenging such a challenge is for them. I suppose since I write everyday, be it on here or working on my book, or whatever other writing doo-dad I have goin' at the moment, writing 26 posts in 30 days doesn't seem that daunting. Hell, I already have some of 'em finished ahead o' time and ready to go. So there! But enough boastin' and toastin' (whatever that even means), howzabout tellin' you fine folks out there just what to expect over these next 30 days.

Well, tomorrow, for those who never got past nursery school, is the Letter B. B is the Bravo letter, so I should probably post on something both brave and boisterous. Which means we'll be talkin' about Bro...oh no, not quite yet. Ya hafta actually show up tomorrow to find out. No spoilers 'round these parts. Okay, maybe a few spoiler hints. As the alphabet progresses, one may see a glimpse or two into the worlds of the ultimate Dungeon Master, or a heartfelt diatribe on people in love being allowed to marry, and perhaps a certain undead TV show, and maybe some damn mutie scum. There might even be a look into one of my fave current comic book titles, one full of some butt-kickin' bad-ass ladies. But enough o' that. Ya'll gonna come back every day and check things out anyway, so why am I even botherin' to give ya peeks 'n glances? My faithful readers and all the true believers out there will be here all month long. Maybe some new peeps will pop in now and again, and perhaps even become regulars after the so-called challenge is over. I still have a few regulars around from last year's April run. We'll see if there are any who aren't scared off this time around. Some people get scared easily.

Well, that's it gang. See ya 'round the web. And in keeping with today's theme, here is a drawing of an anteater skeleton. You know...just because. And don't forget to partake of this month's All Things Kevyn Poll, found oh so conveniently near the top of this blog's sidebar. The poll, choosing your fave Universal Monster, will be up throughout the duration of the A to Z shebang, with the finale and results coming on May 12th. Oh, and since I do my Pinterest pages in alphabetical order (as any self-respecting OCD person does), here is a link to my A-Page! Enjoy. Or don't. It really doesn't matter to me. Well, maybe a little bit. Anyhoo, as I said earlier (and as I say at the end of every post), see ya 'round the web.

  1. You juts finished an A to Z yesterday and it was great. This is easy peasy for you i think. For me it is visiting blogs and seeing who is writing about what. I love the Anteater especially the one who could not outwit the Ant from the Pink Panther show. Anyhoo-enjoy the ride

  2. You are all about the alphabet, dear sir. Have fun eating your ants on day one, even I am writing this on day two. Better later than, well, you know. Love ya, big bro!
