Walkers & Mobsters & Blogs, Oh My: The Great Martin Scorsese Poll Results & Time To Get Your Walking Dead Vote On

Here we are again, at the end of another All Things Kevyn poll. This time ya'll were asked to choose your fave Marty Scorsese film. Hey, there are only 23 from which to choose. So what did everyone choose? Well, the results were relatively unsurprising with Taxi Driver edging out Goodfellas for the top spot, while all the other films fell far far behind. I think we all expected that, but still, there were a lot of votes cast for other Scorsese films as well (156 votes in all), but the love was spread out a bit more outside of the top two. For the record, the final top five happen to also be my own personal top five Scorsese's. Imagine that? I am rarely in touch with other peeps.  Of course my sixth and seventh faves, New York, New York and Shutter Island, did not fare so well, though one of them did fare a bit better than I expected. Anyhoo, without further ado, here are the official results.

1. Taxi Driver - 31 (20%)
2. Goodfellas - 28 (18%)
3. Mean Streets - 13 (9%)
4t. King of Comedy - 12 (8%)
4t. Raging Bull - 12 (8%)
6. Casino - 10 (6%)
7. Hugo - 7 (4%)
8t. Kundun - 6 (4%)
8t. New York New York - 6 (4%)
10t. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore - 5 (3%)
10t. After Hours - 5 (3%)
12. The Aviator - 4 (3%)
13t. Cape Fear - 3 (2%)
13t. Bringing Out the Dead - 3 (2%)
15t. The Departed - 2 (1.5%)
15t. The Age of Innocence - 2 (1.5%)
15t. The Wolf of Wall Street - 2 (1.5%)
18t. Who's That Knocking At My Door - 1 (1%)
18t. Boxcar Bertha - 1 (1%)
18t. Last Temptation of Christ - 1 (1%)
18t. Gangs of New York - 1 (1%)
18t. Shutter Island - 1 (1%)
23. The Color of Money - 0 (0%)

So there ya have it, kids. Poor Color of Money, going seven weeks in the poll (two weeks longer than the normal poll runtime) and not garnering even a single vote - not even a pity vote. Poor bastard. Oh well, it is what it is. That last comment was a personal joke. I don't really say things like that. Anyhoo, this is the end of one poll, but it is also the beginning of a new one. And what, pray tell, would that new poll be? Let's skip ahead, and find out, but I'm guessing the picture will kinda give it away...if the title didn't already.

That's right, kids! It's The Walking Dead. Surprise, surprise. Now all you have to do is head on over to the poll and get your vote on, by choosing your fave Walking Dead character. Is it Rick or Daryl? Glenn or Maggie? Michonne or Merle? Carol or Tyreese? Dale or Lori or Shane or maybe Carl? What about T-Dog or Andrea or even the Governor? I even threw little Lizzie in there, the adorable little psychopath that she is. I know ya'll have a favourite. Now all ya gotta do is vote vote vote. This poll will run for six weeks, ending at midnight EST the night of Tue,. Dec. 16th, with the results being posted on the 17th. As for how to vote, let me tell ya. Just get on over to the poll, which can be found oh so conveniently near the top of the sidebar (really, ya can't miss it) and do what you must. It's easy peezy, lemon squeezy. You can also check out the running results over there as well. Then after you vote, feel free to hop back over here and comment away. So, with all that said, get on over there and get your vote on, and tell everyone you know to do the same! That's it gang. See ya 'round the web.

  1. Poor Color of Money and it has Paul Newman! I have yet to see New York New York and I should make a list of films I finally should see! I can't vote on this one since I don't watch the show at all-the whole zombie eating flesh thing is just not my bag. I keep seeing this back chick who looks pretty tough-on ads for the show. I might vote for her for the only reason that she looks like she can do damage to the zombies
