Heavenly Body of the Week: Crematoria

"If I owned this place and Hell, I'd rent this place out and live in Hell." - Toombs, in Chronicles of Riddick, talking about the prison planet Crematoria, a world that is half a frozen wasteland and half a burning inferno, where sunrise will bring a temperature rise from -300 to 700 degrees in a matter of seconds. Hoo boy.

Today is day three of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, and that means all things the Letter C. So with that in mind, I give you the Heavenly (or Hellishly, in this case) Body known as Crematoria. Please check out other entries in this month long blogathon, including three more Heavenly Bodies of the Week.

That's it gang.  See ya 'round the web.

  1. This planet was one of my favourite parts in the movie. Glad you featured it!

  2. Yeah, not the best holiday destination though.

    Thanx for stopping by.

  3. Interesting planet , I am blogging at for A to Z challenge

  4. I dunno, that planet seems a tad on the hottie side - sort of a perfect place if you enjoy hot flashes. Love your Bobby list - one of the TV shows I watched when I was a kid was Uncle Bobby. He was huge if you lived in Toronto, Canada. You'd think he was a rich STAR, being Uncle Bobby and all, but years later he started driving a school bus, at my mother's company, just to pay the bills. Poor old fellah.

  5. Thanx for the kudos (on this and on the Bobbys). Yeah, according to the film, there is about twenty minutes each day that one can survive on the surface of this prison planet. Fun.
