Heavenly Body of the Week: La Lune

"If you've ever wondered where your dreams come from, you look around...this is where they're made." - Georges Melies, via The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

See ya 'round the web.

  1. I saw this one on the big screen back in '99. The theatre where I saw it was playing it as a opener to Phantom Menace. I paid to watch just the Melies, and left before that Star Wars prequel crap started.

  2. I've never seen this film. Yeah, alright, go ahead and wag your finger or tongue or whatever little thing you want. I guess I should though - being all historical and shit. Okay okay, I'll watch it. Jeez, you're pushy.

  3. Yes, I am pushy, bitch (and no, not a pussy bitch). I demand that you watch this great and groundbreaking film. Now! Right now. Seriously, you can watch it at about a kajillion different places online right now. Just make sure you don't watch the one with the painfully annoying Air music behind it. Egads, get to it woman!!

Oh, and Rufus - I saw it that way as well. It looks great in Scorsese's 3D version too.
